Post Office:   The Clifton Post Office is located in the village General Store. (01462 819255) Opening hours are: Mon / Tues / Thur / Fri 9.00am-1.00pm & 2.00pm-5.30pm Wed 9.00am-1.00pm Sat 9.00am- 12.30pm. There is also a Post Office in Bridge Street Shefford.

 

 

Refuse Collection:  Refuse collection takes place in Clifton every Wednesday. A twin bin system (black and green lidded) is used and each bin is collected alternately once a fortnight. Specific collection dates for the following few months are published in the Clifton Chronicles. Special collections for Christmas are advertised locally or notices are placed on the bins

There are three reasonably local ‘Tidy Tips', one is at Bells Brook, Biggleswade (near Sainsburys), and another at Abbey Lane, Ampthill. Possibly the most convenient is the large tidy tip in Blackhorse Lane, Letchworth.

Transport:  There is a regular return bus service (Numbers M1 & M2) between Bedford and Hitchin, stopping at Clifton Post Office and Bilberry Road There is a less regular return service (Number 200) between Potton and Ampthill, also stopping at Clifton Post Office. Finally, there is a service between Biggleswade and Milton Keynes (Number 197) which runs on Tuesdays only and stops at Clifton Post Office at 9.21am going to Milton Keynes and at 2.43pm on the way back. Time tables: www.stagecoachbus.com/bedford
